SEMiSLUG/Usen*x Meeting: 7:30PM, Thursday, 14.
March 1996, at the Industrial Technology Institute. Directions are at
the bottom.
Administrivia:
- Look for this and future announcements on the soon to
be seperately announced new SEMiSLUG Web site.
The meeting agenda:
- We'll open with the Welcome and Abuse of New
Members, and the Question Session.
- Mark Smith and Gordon Good from the University of
Michigan's Information Technology Division will talk about the
directory services they've deployed at the U of M. We'll likely learn
more about why directory service is a Good Thing, and how X.500 can be
your friend.
- Last will be the Answer Session, Rumors and
Innuendo, then finally adjournment to the bar. Arbor Brewing Company
seems to be working out, even if it was a bit loud. Last month, we
took over an area near the front door. This month, we may try the
back. For those who still missed it, this is where Washington Street
Station used to be.
